First let me introduce myself. I’m Wayne Cheselka, Director and Pasto r 
of Driven by the Spirit Motorcycle Ministry and Chaplain of Dixie Thunder Aiken. I’m a biker, part of the biker community in the Central Savannah River Area and a biker that’s ridden on both sides of the biker world. I am a former three piece patch holder, now born again Christ follower.
One night at a bike event a man asked me which bar I’d be going to when I left the bike event? My reply was simple, none, because I had already visited four bars that day. I told him that I was tired and was just going home. The look on his face was comical. But, as a Pastor I felt I needed to explain to him why I had gone to four bars that day. Let me explain to you… You may ask why a Pastor visits four bars in one day. The answer is biblical; I go because scripture tells me to. I don’t recommend that every Christian should visit bars, but I have a calling to tell others about God, to go where most Christians won’t and don’t go, to let people know that God loves them and that God is waiting to have a relationship with each and every person that is willing to accept Him. Matthew 28:19 tells us; “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Jesus tells us to go and share the Gospel and to help people hear and understand the good news of Christ. Christians are called to spread the word and, for me, that’s anywhere bikers hang out. What I do is called “outreach” ministry. Jesus came to earth for sinners, which includes me, so that they could hear the Gospel and be transformed into new creations. So if Christians don’t “go” tell the world, how will they ever know? I like people and I want to be around people that I feel a common bond with. I want people to know that I like them, no matter their choices, what they ride, how they look or where they live or hang out. My friends are bikers because I am a biker. I go where God tells me to: bars, bike nights, secular events, festivals, hospitals, the streets, wherever to tell people about Jesus. It is just what I do, and to be honest, I enjoy it. I enjoy doing what I know God wants me to do and I get a blessing when I am accepted for who I am and what I believe in. I have found that most people don’t care what I know as a Pastor, they just want to know that I care about them, and I do. I am a biker that got saved and I want others to know that they too can find the love of Christ and still keep riding. So if you are ever in a bar and you see me walk in, don’t get alarmed, I am not there to hit you on the head with a bible, I am only there to check on you. I like people, especially bikers and I am concerned about my brothers and sisters salvation. Your eternal salvation is my heartfelt concern, and I don’t mind talking to anyone, anytime, anywhere about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
