We have received some questions about the Lobby Day patches and I wanted to send out what we decided during in the state legislative meeting.

Because this is a very critical year with two current bills we want everyone to meet in the morning at the Ale House to cover any legislative items so everyone is on the same page. Last year the Governor was asked about outlawing mopeds, putting up awareness signs on the roads and getting someone a job.  While these are all great ideas was not what our organization was working on.

That is why we started meeting in one location before everyone gets to the statehouse instead of in front of the Strom Thurmond statue. We also have more people than ever before so why not get together as a united front.

Now about the patches. We talked about this during the meeting. All other biker events have a start and stop. All of the toy runs, poker runs and rallies. So why would we have this be any different.

It is not fair to get to where we are going to refuse everyone a patch but if you can't make it in the morning you need to get with Dennis. This doesn't mean a whole chapter skip the meeting in the morning and start doing their own Lobby Day because the is a ABATE event not an individual chapter event.

That's why this years patch and shirt is about working together. That is what we need to do to protect our rights and we are getting stronger.

Thanks again to everyone and an early Happy New Year,

Ralph "Goldwing" Bell
